Rockingham County Long-Term Care Celebrates Skilled Nursing Care Week

From May 8 to May 14 Rockingham County Long-Term Care Services joins nursing care centers across the country as we host events for National Skilled Nursing Care Week. This celebration was established by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) in 1967. NSNCW runs from May 8 to May 14 every year. During this week, we recognize the essential role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for America’s older adults and individuals with disabilities.

This year’s theme is “Creating and Nurturing Connections.” This theme was selected to honor skilled nursing facilities’ commitment to residents and staff throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Our relationships with each other are the foundation for the care we provide.

National Skilled Nursing Care Week gives us the opportunity to recognize the residents, staff, and families of skilled nursing centers nationwide. Rockingham County Long-Term Care Services has a week of events planned to highlight our remarkable staff, residents, and their families. We’re excited to embrace the spirit of this year’s theme and celebrate our relationships.

In addition, we encourage you to find your own way to celebrate National Skilled Nursing Care Week.
