Rockingham County Rehabilitation, Nursing Center, and Assisted Living Community is pleased to announce the appointment of Chantal Dja Konan as the new Senior Director of Long-Term Care Services. With over eleven years of experience in the aging services field, Chantal brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.

Rockingham County has met the rigorous benchmarks that signal excellence in care.

Rockingham County is excited to announce a new and improved Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) Apprentice Program. The LNA Apprentice Program will offer comprehensive training and hands-on experience, allowing participants to learn from experienced partners in a supportive environment. Upon successful completion of the program, apprentices will receive their LNA licenses, fully funded by Rockingham County.

The Standing Ovation Awards are bestowed upon communities and individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication and innovation in prioritizing the quality of life for older adults.

In celebration of National Skilled Nursing Care Week®, from Mother’s Day, May 12, to May 18, 2024, Rockingham County is proud to announce a series of events under this year’s theme, “Radiant Memories: A Tribute to the Golden Age of Radio.”

Kendra Mayall, the General Manager at Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Community, has been recognized with the New Assisted Living Administrator Award by the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA).

Rockingham County Rehabilitation, Nursing Center, and Assisted Living Community in Brentwood organized a heartwarming Valentine’s Day fundraiser to support its resident fund. The fundraiser, which took place From February 1-12, was a huge success in raising funds to enhance the quality of life for the residents.
