Rockingham County Raises Money for Resident Fund Through VD Fundraiser

In a display of love and compassion, Rockingham County organized a heartwarming Valentine’s Day fundraiser to support its resident fund. The fundraiser, which took place From February 1-12, was a huge success, raising $728 to enhance the quality of life for the residents of the Rockingham County Rehabilitation, Nursing Center, and Assisted Living Community.

Residents, staff, and community members came together to spread joy and kindness by purchasing a rose for a resident or staff member to be delivered on Valentine’s Day. Departments and divisions also pledged funds to ensure that every resident received a rose. In total, over 600 roses were purchased and delivered. The overwhelming support and generosity demonstrated during the fundraiser truly showcased the spirit of unity and care that defines the Rockingham County Rehabilitation, Nursing Center, and Assisted Living Community.

“We are thrilled by the outpouring of support from everyone involved in making this event a success,” said Jeseca Wendel, Public Relations and Community Outreach Manager at Rockingham County. “The success of this fundraiser not only highlights the dedication of our community but also reaffirms the importance of coming together to support those in need.”

The proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly into the Rockingham County resident fund, which is used to support life enriching programming and initiatives throughout the year.
