BRENTWOOD – Rockingham County Rehabilitation, Nursing Center, and Assisted Living Community’s Nurse Practitioner, Donna Roe, DNP, APRN, BC, CEN, Gero-BC has been appointed to the Addictions Council of The American Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Association (APNA).
In her new role, Roe will work closely with other council members to develop and implement strategic initiatives that address the complex challenges facing individuals with substance use disorders. She will also help to educate nurses and other healthcare professionals on the latest research and techniques in the field.
“We are confident that Donna will make invaluable contributions to the APNA Addictions Council,” said Senior Director of Long-Term Care Services, Jason Smith. “This is an exciting time for addiction treatment, as we are seeing more and more evidence-based approaches that are helping people to overcome their addictions and lead healthier, happier lives.”
Roe brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her new role. Her current experience as the Nurse Practitioner at Rockingham County Rehabilitation, Nursing Center, and Assisted Living Community will give valuable insight to the committee. Roe is an active member of the nursing home’s quality assurance and performance improvement committee, where she has overseen initiatives to decrease resident use of anxiolytics and antipsychotic medications.
Roe is a highly respected expert in the field of nursing. She was recently recognized by NH Magazine in the 2023 Excellence in Nursing Awards in the Advance Practice category. Roe’s appointment is a testament to her dedication to the field of addiction treatment and her commitment to improving the lives of those struggling with addiction.
