Caring for Seniors Living With Alzheimer’s and Dementia
What is Memory Care?
Secure Environment
Located within the Nursing Center is the specialized Driscoll neighborhood for older adults living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
The Driscoll neighborhood features the Tovertafel, an innovative tool designed specifically for individuals with dementia. This interactive “magic table” uses colorful projections to engage residents in stimulating activities that promote motor skills, cognitive engagement, and social interaction in a way that feels like play.
Excellence in Memory Care
Our Approach
Our memory care program is designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals with memory loss while supporting their physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Our team, including licensed nurses, trained caregivers, and life enrichment specialists, is dedicated to creating meaningful moments and enhancing quality of life through each interaction.
We proudly employ Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainers and ensure that our staff receives ongoing education in the latest memory care techniques and compassionate communication methods.
A Day In the Life of our memory care neighborhood
Each day in the Driscoll neighborhood is thoughtfully structured to support a sense of community and well-being while honoring each individual’s journey.
After breakfast, residents can participate in light morning activities such as seated stretching or a guided conversation group to gently stimulate their minds and senses. As the day progresses, we focus on engaging residents in activities that promote cognitive and emotional well-being. This may include creative arts and crafts, memory-stimulating games, or spending time with our Tovertafel “magic table,” an interactive tool designed to spark joy and movement in those with dementia. The day winds down with our staff assisting residents in the evening with their nighttime routines, ensuring each person feels comfortable and at ease.

"We are so impressed by the staff and so is my mom. She is very aware of her surroundings and really cares about everyone who helps her. It is quite something to see such enrichment later in life for her. She has struggled for more years in her adult life than I would like to count. You have had the magic touch and given her life back to her. Thank you so much. "
