SD of Long-Term Care Services Receives NH Business Excellence Award

Brentwood, NH – Rockingham County is thrilled to announce that Senior Director of Long-Term Care Services, Jason Smith, has been awarded a NH Business Excellence Award in the healthcare category. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their field and have demonstrated excellence in leadership, innovation, and community involvement.

Jason has been the Senior Director of Long-Term Care Services at Rockingham County since December 2020 and has played a vital role in transforming the County’s aging services. Under his leadership, Rockingham County has implemented innovative programs and technologies that have improved residents’ quality of life and health outcomes. In December 2022 the organization achieved a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Additionally, the community has received deficiency free health inspection surveys for two consecutive years.

“Jason is on a mission to ensure that all older adults in New Hampshire have the opportunity to age gracefully,” said Jeseca Wendel, Public Relations and Community Outreach Manager. “In today’s challenging healthcare market, Jason embraces future possibilities to meet the evolving needs of our state’s older population.”

The NH Business Excellence Awards are presented annually by NH Business Review. Since 2003, the program has recognized businesses and individuals who have made significant contributions to the economic and civic well-being of the state. Winners from the nine different categories are judged on criterion including industriousness, innovation, employee and customer relations, achievements, and dedication to chosen profession. Winners include business owners and operators from organizations with fewer than 100 employees and those with more than 100 employees.
