Rockingham County Launches 3D Virtual Tours

Rockingham County Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and Assisted Living Community (RCRNC) is excited to share a new way to explore the senior living community. RCRNC recently partnered with Greg West Photography to film 3D virtual tours of the dedicated Rehabilitation Center and Assisted Living Community. These self-guided walkthroughs allow anyone to explore the spaces at their own convenience with a simple click of a button.

Throughout these self-guided tours, users will see waypoints directing them to community spaces including dining rooms and sitting areas. The virtual tours are also enhanced with helpful information such as links to program calendars, dining menus, and contact information.

“We’re proud to offer potential residents and family members who live out of state the opportunity to visit from the comfort of their home,” said Jason Smith, Senior Director of Long-Term Care Services. “The virtual tours are a great way to experience the assisted living community and rehab center if visiting in person isn’t an option.”

The virtual tours are now available on the RCRNC website 24 hours a day.

What is a Virtual Tour?

Virtual tours use special cameras, lenses, technology, and methods to stitch together a 360-degree view of a location. This creates an interactive and immersive simulation of an existing location. The virtual tour format allows users to explore a location and move freely between points of interest. Users have control over what they look at and can zoom in or out to enhance the scene they’re viewing.
