LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire has recognized environmental services supervisor, Sam Forbush, for making an impact on his organization.
Portland – Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is pleased to share environmental services supervisor Sam Forbush received a Standing Ovation award in the category the Power of Passion from LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire. Forbush accepted the award at the LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire annual conference, which took place from May 6-7 in Portland, Maine.
The Standing Ovation awards are a way to honor members whose programs and employees embody excellence in leadership, care, and service innovation. Forbush was recognized for both his noteworthy leadership in his department and his commitment to providing residents with a positive experience. Notably, Forbush organized a Winter Wonderland event to bring holiday cheer to residents who couldn’t leave the building. Though beyond his scope, he spearheaded the project, dedicating countless hours planning and decorating. The event, which was open to the public, featured light displays, cookie decorating, and carolers.
“The event was so well received it’s set to become a cherished tradition here,” said Jeseca Wendel, public relations and community outreach manager. “Sam’s ownership of the project reflects the spirit of our industry, where every day provides us the opportunity to create meaningful moments for our residents – regardless of our role or department.”
Forbush was honored alongside award recipients from senior living communities across New England, including Taylor Community, Wake Robin, and 75 State Street. Each recipient was recognized in a category that truly warranted a standing ovation, celebrating their outstanding contributions and dedication to their communities.
