Physical Therapy
Our physical therapy program provides ongoing assessment to improve mobility, decrease pain, increase strength, and promote activity tolerance

Occupational therapy maximizes the ability to participate in the activities of daily living. Specific therapeutic activities can help regain basic skills and independence
Speech Therapy
Licensed speech pathologists provide ongoing treatment for residents with communication and/or swallowing disorders caused by neurological impairment or disease
A Day In the Life At Our Short-Rehab Center
Each resident in the Fernald Rehabilitation neighborhood follows a plan tailored to their recovery.
Mornings starts with a friendly check-in from our caregivers and a nutritious breakfast to fuel the day. Soon after, therapy sessions begin. Residents rebuild strength in one of our state of the art therapy gyms where they practice mobility and refine daily living skills.
In the afternoon some patients continue working one-on-one with therapists, while others join group exercises or unwind in our welcoming common areas. Lunch is a time to recharge, often shared with new friends who understand their journey of recovery.
With support from our dedicated team, every day brings progress, comfort, and a step closer to home.
