Rockingham County Receives Deficiency-Free Survey for Third Consecutive Year

Rockingham County Nursing Home Achieves Deficiency-Free Survey for Third Consecutive Year

Brentwood, NH – [August 22] – Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is proud to announce that for the third consecutive year, the community has received a deficiency-free rating following its annual survey conducted by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. This outstanding achievement highlights the nursing home’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality care and ensuring a safe, compassionate environment for its residents.

The annual survey is a rigorous inspection process that evaluates nursing homes based on numerous standards of care, including resident rights, quality of life, safety protocols, medication management, infection control, and overall operations. Achieving a deficiency-free survey indicates that Rockingham County has met or exceeded all state and federal requirements for health and safety, with no areas of non-compliance found during the review. The center also earned deficiency free ratings in 2023 and 2022. Additionally, the Assisted Living Community was found to be in compliance during it’s annual inspection this year.

“We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment,” said Michele Melanson Schmitt, Director of Clinical Services at Rockingham County. “Receiving a deficiency-free survey for the third year in a row is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff, who are deeply committed to providing excellent care to our residents. Their teamwork and continuous focus on quality improvement ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of care in a safe and supportive environment.”

This prestigious recognition places Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center among an elite group of facilities that have consistently demonstrated excellence in long-term care. The deficiency-free survey underscores the nursing home’s ability to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of healthcare while maintaining its strong focus on resident-centered care and safety.

“Our mission has always been to provide a home where residents feel comfortable, respected, and cared for as family,” added Melanson Schmitt. “This achievement inspires us to continue striving for excellence in everything we do, knowing that our efforts make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.”
